The judgement.

The judgement.

A Poem by Huw

He stood in silence

as the charges were read out

how long he’d stood there he didn’t know

time had taken on a new and unfamiliar value

there were some charges that he couldn’t recall

he wanted to speak out but couldn’t

then the realisation came upon him

he was being charged for his thoughts

he was as guilty of his fantasising

and his thoughts as he was of his actions.

About
I've been commenting on someone's drawings for a couple of months and she asked if I was a published poet. It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..
