...a great crash.

...a great crash.

A Poem by Huw

They begin as discontentments
in the imaginations of the mind
They surface as firm resolutions
that will certainly contribute
to a new you, a happier you,
a more stable contented you.

Behind the imaginings of the mind
hiding in the shadow lurks the sure
knowledge that the resolutions will
inevitably be short lived as power
sufficient to upholding the promises
does not belong to you.

New Year's delusions might be stacked high
but the higher they are
then further they will fall
and they will fall with a great crash.

About
I've been commenting on someone's drawings for a couple of months and she asked if I was a published poet. It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..
