The complete tangler

The complete tangler

A Poem by Huw

Looking intently at his reflection in the mirror

he then turned, walked away

and forgot what he looked like.

the man who does not truly know himself nor ever has

a man who does not do what he ought to do

a lost soul who seems to think

he has all the answers

when he has

very few

or

0

0

but

what he

considers vital

naught but what his imagination

casts up on the bare sand he calls a mind

on which nothing of any consequence leaves a mark

on which he relies and in ignorance expects others to do so

This is a work of non-fiction any resemblance to persons living or dead, or simply dead and still walking around is purely intentional, but without malice. Any offence taken should be reflected upon before smashing the mirror.

i like the layout of this, matching that reflection...and the middle of the poem igniting the feeling of nothing...his mind which he assumes full of greatness is really a shallow reflection of unused potential and overused ego.

very cool piece.

I've been commenting on someone's drawings for a couple of months and she asked if I was a published poet. It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..
