Few taste and enjoy.

Few taste and enjoy.

A Poem by Huw

There is a section in my mind

labeled junk.

Into this section goes everything

I don't need to remember,

don't want to remember

or don't choose to remember.

You will never be in my junk section

for all the wrong you did me

for all the hatred you showed me.

I have forgiven you.

This forgiveness is not junk,

but riches beyond your possible dreams.

I know if you ever read this

you'd find it impossible to believe,

more so to understand.

There is a sweetness in unmerited

forgiveness that is the ambrosia

few taste and enjoy.

"forgiveness that is the ambrosia few taste and enjoy"

and holding grudges, preserving hate is not the way to enjoy life...better to let go of those feelings and forgive...

so nicely stated here in this poem.

I've been commenting on someone's drawings for a couple of months and she asked if I was a published poet. It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..
