I’ve been working on a new design for the human head. There is nothing wrong with the old head, but in this day of IT advancement, I thought a few hardware refinements could be made.
Firstly I propose a screen on the forehead about 2x1 inches just like a mobile phone screen. This would then automatically process text of our thoughts so that when we listen to someone speaking we can check the screen and see if their thoughts and their words match. They, of course, would be able to do the same with us.
At the back of the head, there would be a slot, similar to the receipt slot on a cash machine. This would dispense accurate transcripts of the intentions behind our thoughts. This would then enable us the judge sincerity in what was thought and spoken.
The screen on the forehead would also show text even if the thoughts are not expressed in words.
The advantages are far greater than what is commonly called an invasion of privacy. Women would no longer need to ask their husband, ‘what are you thinking about’? And the husband could never lie!
The old adage mothers use with their children, ‘’I can read you like a book’’ would become ‘I can read you like an email, and of course be true.
