Stepping off the planet.A Poem by HuwTHERE WERE TIMES WHEN HE FULLY EXPECTED THAT GRAVITY MUST RELEASE ITS HOLD ON HIM AND THAT HE WOULD STEP OFF THE PLANET. NO MAN, NO MAN HE'D EVER MET HAD EXPERIENCED SUCH JOY, SUCH GLADNESS, SUCH ALL ENCOMPASSING BLISS. HOW? WHY HIM? IF ASKED HE WOULD SAY HE DIDN'T KNOW. HE WOULD DECLARE HE WAS NOT DESERVING OF SUCH JOY SUCH EXPERIENCES HAD NOT BEEN HIS YOUTHFUL DESIRE THOUGH HE KNEW MANY WHO WOULD HAVE DESIRED IF THEIR IMAGINATION WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM REIN. HE WAS HEARD TO SAY THAT IF THE RICHEST MAN ALIVE COULD PUT HIMSELF IN HIS SHOES FOR ONE MINUTE TO KNOW WHAT HE KNEW AND EXPERIENCE HOW HE FELT THE RICH MAN WOULD OFFER ALL HE POSSESSED TO KEEP THE SHOES THE MAN WOULD REFUSE AND TAKE BACK HIS SHOES. HE MARCHES TO A DIFFERENT TUNE, HE WALKS AT A DIFFERENT PACE,
MAYBE ONE DAY HE WILL STEP OFF THE PLANET. © 2015 Huw |

It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..Writing
