Not worth it...A Poem by HuwUmmmm? When she left I told everyone that she had the best deal She could and did leave, but I was stuck with me. How could a man leave himself? How could a man be released from himself from the imaginations of his mind? I waxed worse and then worse still. Trapped, addicted, adjudged ''Help I need someone'' the man said and so did I, but I didn't know who I didn't know why and the wherefore? The wherefore left me in desperate and dire straits. I have promised not to ask questions of myself I tried to drown my sorrows, but they float they just float there and mock me Try again, try again and again and again. I no longer hurt when they hit me Hit me again I shout, but they walk away, laughing, taunting...''you're not worth it''. Which is what she said as she left. © 2018 Huw |

It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..Writing
