Bondage 2A Poem by HuwSome memoriesBefore you came to set me free you imprisoned me. I was sentenced to many years of futility My tribulation having been perfected by anguish resulting in fear, hatred, despair and the cold breath of the shadow named death pursued me constantly. Solitary and confinement darkness and gloom pretending to be free while burdened by my chains of liberty. Despair masked by a facade of normality that people like to wear with nagging doubts worn as trinkets of the mind. An animated death impersonating life void of lasting peace and liberty The avid pretence of normality fed by the father of lies the flaunting of the fiction going along with the flow. The slavery the drudgery the weight of a burden unable to confess that all was wrong that all was fake and the biggest fake was me. Unable to unwilling too refusing to confide within myself of my condition. Others joining the great pretence seemingly afraid for themselves that the admission of my sad state would open the doors of some great nightmare from which mankind could neither wake nor escape and so there could be no respite offered by my fellow inmates my family, my friends, my neighbours.....the common earthly herd. © 2015 Huw |

It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..Writing
