Poverty of the Heart

Poverty of the Heart

A Poem by Hutch
"

How life hardens us

"

when life has stripped you of dignity

or maybe you are so exhausted of mundane moments

as if you are not in control anymore

you see the same cars next to you going to work

little is fresh, new and beautiful anymore

you burn bridges everywhere throughout your life

as to say that is not where I should be

please don't let me return

but maybe God does work in mysterious ways

we desperately search for understanding

it's really plain to see though

to take less and to give more

be a giver much more than a taker
