Conservation Bog

Conservation Bog

A Poem by Husk
"

Reborn from significant mistake

"

Frustrated at his lackluster work,

he halfheartedly chucked his failure

in with the aluminum cans,

the broken glasses,

among other lost causes

Reborn from significant mistake,

an innovation emerged

from the dank cavern

He had under-calculated the significance

of the overarching theme

He welded together his own artificial torch,

refusing the tradition of headlamps

The lamp overhead appeared

to radiate beams of sardonic mockery

After aimlessly and seemingly longingly wandering

over loosely-constructed,

low-hanging bridges,

the murky waters faded,

revealing a familiar scroll

He abandoned his work

in favor of inadequate drivel,

setting his pencil

over the lackluster non-conclusion

He glanced over the document

with a wry grimace

and vetoed its disparaging proposals
