Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by Rae
"

my parts dream separately from me

"

My knuckles are to the wall;

They have dreams of breaking through.

My head is to the floor

Dreaming of a time it might rise.

My parts dream separately from me;

Each with its own will.

My ears have dreams of loving whispers.

My lips have dreams of listening admirers.

I think my eyes have the best intentions;

They dream of beauty in everything.

So, if I accomplish nothing in life,

My eyes have had their dreams come true.

Rae
This poem was written for a poet friend of mine who was told by an "expert" that he used personification too much. HA!

This was good, whether it had "too much" personification or not ;)
