A poem inspired by the memory of a beautiful soul on their birthday and their impact on the universe.

Wishes

Some wishes are made upon a star,

wishing for blessings from afar

Some wishes are prayed to the Lord above,

for success, good health, or even love

Some wishes praise thoughtful inspiration,

while some offer only consolation

Some wishes offer good fortune or advice,

while others seem to barely suffice

Some wishes are shallow without sincerity,

while others seem to lack clarity

Some wishes are sent in a card or note,

containing words and phrases someone else wrote

Some wishes seek to provoke a smile,

from that special friend not seen in a while

But the best wishes made with hopes to come true, 

are those wishes made especially by you!
