Elegance

Elegance

A Poem by Heather

That sparkling dress
The tall heels
The "on fleek" makeup
The beautiful hourglass shaped body
The sexiest car
The really expensive yet classy purse
The stunning long hair, curly or straight
The beautiful pearl or diamond necklace
Truth is
Everything is elegant
Only if you believe it

If only you believe it ???
Now let me tell ya,, I've seen fat birds in high heels, short shorts, cellulite legs, bellies hanging from croptops, tattoos, piercings, language to make a docker blush, elegant, more like elephant

I agree.
"Truth is
Everything is elegant
Only if you believe it"
What we hold precious is elegant to the person. Thank you Heather for sharing the excellent poetry.

Excellent ; well written, and critical ( as I read this) of cliches about female elegance. Well done !

I like this poem, it;s short enough so the reader doesn't lose interest, but long enough to convey the intended meaning. I definitely agree with the message, anything is as elegant as you want it to be, because your opinion is the only one that truly matters. I love the imagery used in this piece, especially the 'hourglass' analogy, it really paints a picture as to what the woman looks like. The descriptive words you use like 'sparkling' and 'stunning' are also very impacting when used the way you used them. Great job!
