Just Is

Just Is

A Poem by ?:

A crooked stare, brainless
Stained by their brothers' crimes
Blissfully unaware of all the crossed lines in practice
Why do we act as savage as ravaged bats, but rival them in blindness?

Who can find the time to put their shield on right
When they've got more poor to kill?
I'm appalled,
Derailed,
The call to justice has yet to prevail

Justice?
Just a jest?
A joust just as jacked up as all the rest?
Juiced up jerks with guns and vests
They all think they're better
Nah, they think they're best

Do you get the jist?
How do you justify these gestures?
And rectify being jizzed on?
Belittled like some court jester?
Muster up some courage,
There's juggling to do
And the jazz that'll jab you
Jaundiced, lusterless schmucks to jive
Blot out blue

Here I sit, staring into the eyes of several monsters
They peer back, some
Others flirt their eyes away
Others stare
Painfully off, into nowhere
I wonder if they realize
What an insignificant role they play

Author's Note

?:
Kind of an older one. It's a song I've long since stopped playing since I grew to find it cringey. Liked some of the wordplay and things though, so I edited a few parts and made it somewhat more bearable for the sake of posting here. Enjoy or whatever
