The Fox Not The Mice

The Fox Not The Mice

A Poem by Kayleigh Huckleberry
"

"She is the fox and her prey the mice."

"
She is torn between two wrongs and rights; her delirious rules and the logical light.

Beckoning her in; the universal goodwill, but the enticing blood hunt; too much to leave ill.

She chides herself when restraint gives up, with her intentions now only ever corrupt.

She is the fox and her prey the mice, unlike before when rolled a different side of dice.

Still very raw - both in context and layout. I'm very uneducated when it comes to genre selecting (suggestions beckoned). Thankyou, and do cricticise freely- scream, shout, 'chide' etc..... :)

well here is a suggestion...I sort of shortened it so it flowed better. When writing this type of poem you must really try to get it to scan better...excuse me if you think I'm overdoing it. I am still not sure what this all means but it is a poem and you have to start somewhere. I have been writing the things for over 50 years and some of my early efforts were far worse than this

She's torn between two wrongs and rights
ridiculous rules and logical light

(It is good to get alliteration in words that begin with the same letter)

beckoning her universal goodwill
the enticing blood hunt promising ill
she chides herself when restraint gives up
with her intention ever corrupt
she is the fox and her prey the mice
unlike before with a different dice

just a thought

I have the tendencies of a rambling man, and I'm hoping this doesn't show in my work, I'll try to keep it short and sweet: I am actually an art student, so for me this is a second means of self-exp.. more..
