Insatiable need to care

Not too sure on this one but just wanted to write about being a student nurse. Please leave a review on your opinions.

When it's time to save a life
I keep my heart strong
And hold my head up high
I wait till it's over
The emptiness comes

Nobody said it would be easy
But everyday I touch a life
Or a life touches mine

Life can be unkind but only sometimes...
The light comes rushing back in
Into another room
I hear screams
Laughter and joy
Life has begun

A nurse is a truly unique job

The amount of soulful interaction you get in one day is immense
Next to a teacher
those two profession touch people and get touched in return

Beautifully written, on the subject of your career, which at times must seem a thankless task. I remember not just the kindness of staff at the hospital where my dad passed, but their genuine sadness too. I think we sometimes forget what you have to put up with emotionally as well as physically. It was nice to know that those who cared for him in his last days, were good, kind people.
Wonderfully written. headstrong heats required, but they are more fragile than people think.
