The One That Got Away

Empty spaces
crashing thoughts.
Once fearless
she was now like a ghost.
'Cause when he left her

she wasn't prepared.
He never taught her
how to be okay.

He took away all of her

left her empty as a glass.
She just always meant to love him
but that's just who he was.
A stranger with a familiar face
loving only her grace.
She lost him
but she knew he was never there.
Instead of him
she lost her safety sphere.
