THOU WOMANA Poem by AjeFrom the Guy who can't come to terms with what Love isThou woman Lurking upon my threshold What doeth thou shaking pillars firm What wreckage thou bringest upon my homestead Art thou comes to flood my calm Or glee on mine turbulent seas
Behold! Thou art a disease upon my mind And no physician hath thy cure Oh! Enchantress Thy bosom hast thou confined me by fetters to And how it doeth blossoms, thy music by letters too
Simmering concoctions so sweet Love in thy air floats, thy birds tweet My heart refuseth sleep For where thy charm doth sweep, Love didst always beep And hid me in its shelter’s keep
Whence my thoughts go weary And across thy name it doeth stumbles With joy renewed, Comes Cupid’s new bundle For echoes of thy voice tempts mine ears And memories of thy smile eases mine fears. © 2016 AjeAuthor's Note
