Shades of

Shades of

A Poem by Mavis

Realistically this listless epiphany
Would wish me away given half the chance.

But who would we be,
To leave it up to
Anything less than
What we manifest and
Mass-produce everyday?

Like cancer growing in a bright sky,
I'll pull a shadow over everything
That burns my eyes.

You're best viewed in shades of gray anyway.
