![]() ~ What's going on. ~A Poem by Relic
He didn't get along with his father.
Family harmony slowly slid off the musical staff, and any melodic agreement between them drowned in argumentative cacophony. They'd lost their grip on understanding and love, but the long, slow decline started years earlier when he lost himself to addictions. He bore the weight of cocaine and lust on his shoulders, high enough for his wife to see the personality changes and the affairs. "Sexual healing is good for me..." Throughout many years, his golden voice sang through a microphone with power, grace, and soul. But internally, he was falling apart. One night, in the heat of an argument, he was shot in the hallway of his father's home. His father was charged. The voice of Marvin Gaye, a Motown favorite for millions, left behind a legacy. The impassioned words, the expressive music, must now remain in the hearts of his fans and in history forever. ~ "Father, father We don't need to escalate You see, war is not the answer For only love can conquer hate You know we've got to find a way To bring some loving here today." ~ What's going on. ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-kA3UtBj4M
