This too shall pass.

This too shall pass.

A Poem by Relic

This too shall pass

Autumn fields with chestnuts strewn,
Resound October's chilly tune,
Spreading down through dirt and grain,
Touching roots of sugar cane.

Above, where mist and shadows flee,
Squirrels will gnaw at pumpkin seeds.
As ravens harvest bits of grass,
Securing nests before snow's pass.

But scarecrows do and will discern
A human's passing was its turn,
Much like seasons at their start;
Soon they age and then depart.

Such a lovely poem about my favorite season. Where I live, Autumn passes far too quickly and this poem reminded me to enjoy the season.

I always try to. Thank you very much for the comment, Lisa. :)
Everything that is bright must fly or as Frost wrote, "Nothing Gold can Stay". But the same logic could equally be applied to problems and unpleasant situations. They will pass. But like Tom Petty wrote, "The waiting is the hardest part." I enjoyed the read. F.

I miss Tom P. Thanks for the comment, Fabian. Much appreciated.
This poem reflects on the transient nature of life and the inevitability of change, particularly through the lens of the seasonal cycle. It suggests that both the beauty and the challenges of life are temporary and will eventually give way to new experiences.

Well written, I enjoyed reading this poem...
Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome. :))
dear Relic... the passing of time is personified in the Autumn of our years. The tears will fall when Rainbows gather the Colors of our days. Lovely poetry as blessings become the Pardon we receive. gently, Pat
