Oh, I just love this finely penned poem, dear R. I smiled as I read because when I worked I used to go through the cemetery each morning and evening. I love that you say "Hello" to the residents too, it is a lovely sign of respect. Though they are not there, in body only not in Spirit, the very thought shows them that though you may not know them, you think of them as you go on your way. A wonderful way to start the day and I feel many beautiful blessings will be yours as a result, dear R. Lovely work! I so enjoyed reading...

You're very kind, Marie. Thank you so much for your comment. It's much appreciated. :)
I like this. I don't regularly pass through a cemetery, but when I do, I commune with the residents, just like you. Somehow, it seems appropriate to say "Good morning". By doing so, I think we let them know that they're not forgotten. An excellent poem, my friend.

Thanks so much for the comment, Sam. I really wasn't sure how this would go over. :)
Ahh ok the reading comprehension almost got me on this one, or the fact that I try to jump to conclusions before I've read all the way through (this was always great fun with tests in school). At first I thought we were talking about like living people and then I read the note and everything made a whole lot more sense.
It's easy to wonder about the graves, or more accurately the people that were once that are now behind the graves. I do admit, I find myself sometimes talking to them too when I pass by a cemetery. I just feel better saying a word or two to them as I pass by.
