Car Haiku

A Poem by Relic

Old Abandoned Car In The Woods Photograph by Paul Freidlund - Fine Art ...

An old
     rusted car

found sleeping
     in the dense woods

I dreampt
     of its past.

What a past you much have dreamed of, dear R... Am trying to imagine the many events which may have happened in the past in the car. Wonderful micropoem, so much said in so few words and a lovely picture painted of the rusted car and where you found it sleeping. Words complemented by a superb choice of graphic! Lovely gem! Thank you for sharing, R...

I'd turn it into garden art ;) (if I had a big enough garden)

I'm sure every biologist would gladly agree. Thank you, Susan. :))))
I love the different layout! It's amazing how so few words can say so much. I can smell the rust.

Thanks very much for your comment, SleeplessVolcano.
What a beautiful resting place in the deep woods! Such lovely visuals play in my mind as I read this. Yes, what were those journeys undertaken long past..? Where does all of it go after we are done traveling...?

It was my pleasure, dear Relic. Have a great day. :)
this reminds me of earlier days when I still had the oomph to go parts hunting for my old builds
There was a graveyard where anyone just dumped off their old relics (nothing personal) and left behind a treasure trove of hard to find bits and pieces
A wonderful way to spend an afternoon but all gone now

haha, I don't think it was, Fran. :) Thank you.
That was a great car once. It could tell us many tales of yesterday. Nice use of words and thoughts Relic. Made the reader ponder and think.
