The perfect scene

The perfect scene

A Poem by Relic

Her gaze focused on
the crowd of plush trees
that radiated with violets
purples, reds and blues
~
She imagined the summer wind
moving her dress
in a gazebo
that snuggled up to the stream
The path next to it
held puddles of sunlight
on the plush lawn
~
pearly gates couldn't
be far away
~
but her eyes were diverted
to the window when snow started falling
outside on the air conditioner
~
She turned to make supper
~
reality always interrupts

A nice write Tim. Subtle Monet shades and how rude is reality when it bites.

Thank you, andrew.
What a lovely scene you paint with your words. I studied Kinkade in art appreciation in not a very favorable light, though, I might add. It mainly dealt with his marketing strategies and mass production of scenic creations. But your poem is a unique creation of art in and of itself. I enjoyed.

I appreciate your comment, Fabian. Thank you.
Many a time I've been deep into a story or project to find hungry children waiting to be feed.
I live this poem. I believe a poet came up with the idea of fruit and cheese tray fast and easy.

Reality always have to interrupt our fantasies... don't they?! I enjoyed this Dreamy piece you've written of a beautiful, enchanting garden. The woman feels at peace with herself but sadly it's all interrupted by the snow fall. How rude! I love, love, love the art ou accompanied with the powm, it's so colourful and pretty!! A real paradise! Thank you for sharing, Relic I enjoyed reading!

imagery a lovely scene is

ha thank you, Neville. :)
Your attention to detail is wonderfully illustrated here, Tim. The trees that radiated with violets, the path that held puddles of sunlight, to her eyes that were suddenly diverted to the window when the snow began to fall. It was enough to absorb me, so much so I didn't want it to end. Just beautiful.
