Two toddlers wore rain

In the yard, in the fog

of a heavy downpour

two toddlers wore the rain
like tight-fitted jeans

which clung to them so soggy, and yet ~

in moments of glee
with a spin and a spree

they giggled and laughed
a thousand thuds

as each thundering thud
of their shiny red boots

forced a violent splatter.
But what does it matter?

For youth is but a moment
cleaved to a cloth

made of exquisite fabric
that creates a future memory

Wow! You paint a very beautiful picture through excellent word choice of the pure joy experienced by two toddlers on a rainy day in this exquisitely inked poem, dear R... They had great fun as they were dressed for the weather and could skip, hop and jump in puddles without fear of getting too wet. While they were enjoying their time together, they didn't realise that they were making beautiful memories for the future, memories which they would take with them in their hearts all their lives.
