I still visit the profiles of old friends here, some that I know seldom if ever, revisit the site. Others are departed from life itself. I revisit their comments on my posts on other sites as well. I'll find one and say, well, wasn't that nice? This is eloquently poignant. I enjoyed and I relate. F.

As do I. They are like monoliths on a partways barren land.
This is a highly descriptive and mournful call. I have been on this site off and on for many, many years have seen people I loved to read and interact with come and go or pass and have even met a few in person. I do miss them and still I find myself coming back form time to time just to rub elbows with those that are left and a few newer people just to feel a bit nostalgic. Great piece.

I'm probably here for the same reasons. Thank you for your thoughts, Crowley.
you've recently asked me 'what is insignificant crap?' when i had posted same
THIS is such. your writing is ok, but it is just made up phrases boosted by placement to feed your ego.
does it make your thang go twang when you count readership numbers?
you write to pleasure your faithful base, to feed your insecurities, to feed your ego.
you need not ever question my writings or any other ... go hang with jay g, then you can argue which has the most insignificant crap.
it is never too early to post
Oh how I love this..
First the artwork.. magnificent
and the words..well, excellent
Verbs say on rusty hinges,,, really clever.. my friend...

I appreciate your kind review, Lisa. Thank you. :)
This poem made me think of the posters all over telephone poles kind of forgotten and rusty with weather. Some very artistic and all full of words. Modern wanted posters. WANTED! Your attention please. And that's all a poet can ask for. Somewhere to staple their poems and hope the rain of attention will wash the dust away.

Somehow, you amazingly captured the feeling of an abandoned account/website. Oddly unsettling and cold. Once the person behind the screen isn’t there anymore, all that’s left is the blue light and white screen. A lot of cold. The imagery is amazing and haunting. I love that just about everyone in the comments can relate. I can too. Abandoned your account, only to bring it back is poetic in its own way. Thank you so much for sharing.
