Shades of Gray

Shades of Gray

A Poem by Chad

When this darkness finally fades and Dawn's first light shows these shades of gray, exposes them for what they really are. Will you be there, fully, wholely, thoroughly? Closure is creeping away from me slowly yet surely and I fear it may never return. Perhaps it is the fear of losing you that holds my sway. For I hold you very dear to my heart. I tried and cried, yet hello always eerily seemed like goodbye. Should closure creep away, fully, wholely, thoroughly. Know that I love you and that is was the shades of gray that held my sway.
