Truth Be Told

Truth Be Told

A Poem by Chad

Is it the search for truth, for closure that binds us? Maybe it is merely love. All I ask is that you love me, and in return, I shall sell you my soul. Priceless it may seem, but Lucifer knows that it is a heavy price to pay, and so do I. Oh, if you knew how much I loved you. Lucifer would let me live on happily. Yet, happily ever after would be to great a favor, and so I am alone. thus it is, and I cannot change it. Rather, I choose not to, why? Is it fear? Fear of the unknown that taunts me? I fear that it is known to me, for I have done it before, my love, and I can do it again. This time for love, and not lust.
