Naught But a Shadow

Naught But a Shadow

A Poem by Chad
"

What if?

"

I turn my heart, but my eyes, they wander. Despite the trials and miles covered, and every act of indescretion. You remain to accompany desire. I'm in dire need of more. For I am completely incomplete. Destiny is naught but a shadow to hide in, and a hard shadow to find. As you've proven before. In the core of my heart, doubt prevails and impales my soul with sorrow. Like a dagger in the back. I'm sorry it went so far, despite the trials and miles covered, and every act of indiscretion. Yet somehow, you still remain.
