One Regret

My only regret is that I never knew that no one would come as close to me as you. So ironic, it seems to be, that I have but one regret. Yet, tragically alone I am left, with no hope or happiness within me. Only despair remains, and despair is all but kind. I find it hard to bear despairs burden. So ironic, it seems to be, that I bear but one burden. Hurt in so many ways with no hope or happiness within me. Will I ever find my way back?
