Because I love you...

 

you told me that you loved her,

and I cried,and cried.

Because I loved you.

Why?

Why did I have to love you?

Because all I ever do,

is hurt you.

All I ever do,

is cause problems for people.

Why?

Why could'nt I just let you be with her,

and not be jelous.

So,

I never told you.

I kept it in.

All these feelings I have for you,

I hid them.

I was afraid,

that if I told you how I felt,

I might hurt you even more.

and now,

you belong to someone else.

But still,

I did my best,

to keep you safe.

Safe from me.

Safe from my twisted self.

Because to really love someone,

means to always put their feelings,

before your own.

Because I love you.

this i have to say is one of my favorite poems just because of how much i can relate. and yea, it does kind of remind me of "already gone" however, like he said it should be "couldn't" and you misspelled "jealous." minor typos, but i really, really like this poem. great flow and message. just overall great job.

It's couldn't. Rememvber the apostraphe always come after the "n". Other then that, it's good to put ur emotions down on paper becuz u feel better afterwards. it kinda reminds me of Kelly Clarkson's song "Already gone" for some reason. i guess becuz u wrote u didn;t want to hurt the person u love. I'm guessing ther person u r talking about is a friend of urs? Anyway, nice job on this. :)
