Chapter twenty two

awww...sad :( the journey is slowly coming to an end. I'm almost done with this book!

       When I came to, I was lying in the street of the alley and it was dark out. I opend my eyes, and as I stared into the moonlight, I suddenly remembered how I got there. I sat up, and looked around to find Sophie. All of a sudden, out of the corner of my eye I saw something. I turned my head to see what it was, and there she was. There, laying in the middle of the alley, out cold, was Sophie heart. My best friend. She was covered in blood. It was all over the street, some on the side walk; it was terrible. But that was'nt even the scariest thing. The scariest thing, was the long cut running down her arm, just like the one on mine. 'No!' I thought, 'No! how did they remember that they did the same thing to me, when I was twelve? How?'.

"S-Sophie?" I said, "Are you awake? Sophie?". I, of course, did'nt get an answer. She was out cold. I wondered how long we had been laying there. The gang had obviously left us there, hours before we wolk up. So how long had we been there?

Just then, my thoughts were interupted by the reality of things. "Oh crap. Oh...Oh", then I got a sick feeling, and I threw up. right there in the middle of the alley. Not even the vomiting made me feel better. It made things even worse.

when I was done, I got up and went to Sophie's side. When I saw her face, I started to cry. And then sob. "S-Sophie, please! Please, no! I'm sorry Sophie!, I'm so sorry! This is all my fault. I...t-this is'nt what I wanted! Please!". And then, I started running.
