Fake best friend

A true story :(

 

the birthday parties.

the sleep-overs.

the good times.

The bad times.

What were they?

was it just a waste of time to you?

Were you really having fun?

Or did you do it because you felt bad for me?

You said we'd be "BFF's for life".

But that was a lie.

Just a selfish lie.

Because before I knew it,

you were suddenly too good for me.

You left me behind.

But it was'nt fake to me.

I had fun.

Those times were'nt a waste.

Those times were supposed to be happy.

Not just for me, but for both of us.

Because a real best friend,

does'nt pretend.

A real best friend,

is'nt a fake.

I think this is sad. I am sorry that you lost your best friend. If I had lost my best friend. I would spiral into a depression that is so severe no one would know what to do. I would be dead by that time...I am sorry a good. Thanks for sharing. :()

This is becoming too true in everyone's life. It's sad. Sometimes I feel that I was the fake friend. It feels terrible. Even though the subject of the poem is so sad, it's a wonderful poem.
