Gods and Demons

Gods and Demons

A Poem by James Starnes
"

Our Inner Battles

"

Gods and Demons 1/20/08

Control is an illusion,

Just cause and effect.

From Gods and Demons,

On which we reflect.

They haunt our lives,

To conflict our soul.

So twisted and demented,

Our horror their goal.

Believe in one monster,

Then choose another.

Betray all your friends,

And consume your brother.

Such hatred and pain,

In a world out of reach.

Will we pass this along,

When our children we teach?
