ButterfliesA Poem by hope
Your embrace is so compassionately profound
in this moment, I feel like I could drowned. Can we please just lay here for a while please don't make a sound. Your hand in mine, our legs are intertwined as our bodies inch closer, you penetrate my mind. The music is soft, tempestuous yet I can't hear a thing, Except for the heartfelt pitch in your voice which causes my heart to sing. Traces of your words take refuge in my mind expecting more than right now... this moment enshrined. Your smile is so welcoming it forces my eyes to watch time standing still. Aging like a bottle of scotch. The sun, so tempting-judging Sleep evades me knowing THIS... THIS wont last forever. THIS is just an illusion one with whiskey filled intentions. Goodbye... Goodbye to the hopeful thoughts. Goodbye to intoxicating lies. Goodbye to the music and smiles. Goodbye to the butterflies. © 2018 hope |
