A black Bird's Love Song

I remember, always having an interest in black birds..

A Black Bird’s Love Song

A black bird sits upon my fence.

I watch in awe, its beauty, stunning.

I listen to it chirp as it begins to rain.

The pitter patter and the chirp of the black bird, beautiful.

It stares blankly ahead.

No fear as it bravely faces the world, head on.

I wish I had that courage.

Why do I have to be me, instead?

Thunder cracks, the bird flinches.

It still faces the world.

How, how can it be so brave?

Does it not know, that the whole world is dangerous, all if it’s long inches?

It flew away, now.
Gone.

I sit, now residing alone.

Oh, how I long for its song…
