Love I Love So Deep

Love I Love So Deep

A Poem by Thomas Snider
"

To Nicole.

"

As I sat watching your horizon upon the green grass of yesterday,
I watched your bright smile disappear into the far off tomorrow.
In my heart I felt the loss of my today,
Watching my love start to fade from me.
But in my arms I held her close pushing through the never.
With warmth passing from body to body the wind blew by our forever.

Upon her ear, I kissed her with a whisper.
Passing words of my love upon the wings of a breath.
Seeing the essence of life deep within her eyes,
As she looked to me with her smile, making all seven wonders collide.

There laying upon the white fleece of a sheepish cloud,
We held one another close,
Drunk in the gentle ray of her.

Held up by the wings of heavens angels,
Time passed us both by,
And I held you closer to me.
So together we watched the passing of the ages,
To you I looked just to see,
The love I love so deep.
