Fool Out Of Me

Fool Out Of Me

A Poem by Thomas Snider
"

This poem I wrote and posted awhile back. I made a contest out of this one on "Self Hate". Enjoy. =D

"

You make a fool out of me,
When I put my head upon that pillow at night.
You drive me to a new place, rather than what I truly want.
Rather than valiant knight on horseback like before,
I’m the hopeless lover who has lost his heart.
So I find myself in pursuit of my love gone lost in dreams,
Fighting a heart attack in reality from knowing it’s gone before me.
The floor is not there anymore,
I owe that to you, b*****d.
Why can’t you be good to me like before?
Are you jealous of the dreams I dream in day?
So you plague me by night?
You are dirty and low,
Playing with this heart I have
Taking the love I have
Twisting all I have
Taking all I have.
You swindler
You cheat
You con
I use to love your embrace with the loss of the sun,
But now I dread you with intensity,
Placing my head down in mere fear of what you might place at the back of my eyes!
Someday you’ll see, how important she is to me.
Then you’ll play a happy view,
So once again I can lay down and love you too.
