Cut-Cut, Snip-SnipA Poem by Niall MaddenSo here the lone girl lay with a burst chest, the barely functional organs spread out to impress. While here stomach and liver fought for a place in the sun, The fluid drenched intestines flopped to form nest for the bloody young. Although the onlookers would admire a face oh so pretty, the erratic acts of lifeless lungs would offset sullied beauty. Although a death holds such innocence even spattered in red, at least the superficial parts can be preserved after the sweet things dead. But as a final throat collapse lead to heaving viscous clots, the picturesque canvas was soon stained by vile reds. Her heart had soon scattered into flashy confetti bits, Soon all we could see was a ruined face and lifeless lips. So now a spectacle of grotesque was so far over done, Beauty in the pretty thing was almost gone. As the lungs caved in and everything else died with, The visage of superficiality cannot save a human being. © 2015 Niall Madden |
