MalfeasenceA Poem by Niall MaddenAs timid beating blunders, with morbidity held within its sound. As a viscous liquid Thicker than oil, trickled unnoticed into a meaty motor as it did, taint planted in. Corruption had entered, let its work begin. as it travels through the veins on a bloody waterslide, people can see the evil even from the outside. This liquid parasite brings you all desire, Freedom it gifts, while crowning with power. On the outside you begin, to feel this sensation too you act fluidly Though soon an end is due. As this maleficent being becomes more than blood, All the while you grow just as men should, but evil cannot just exist, that's why a host is used, to hold this festering, lethargic mess. wrapping around a frail being, and using muscle as a scaffold for some vile generator, a battered powerhouse. Men let this happen, Men, they gave in. it seduced their hearts, and poured darkness in. you followed all orders, resist was non-existent. though all hate evil, no refusal was present. Harming, bribing, gutting, how did purity live on? she wept in a corner while you all danced to the same song. Purity has left you, Men have faith no more, You slump there non-chalant. Just a shell of what you once were. your head should rise, seeing blacked out skies and clouds that cover all hope and look ahead to see you instead in a darker light, Now corruption has control. © 2015 Niall MaddenAuthor's Note
