I Love You

I Love You

A Poem by Hope Rose
"

I don't know, in all honesty, why I wrote this. It's just a list of thing, I guess. Anyways, don't hate please

"
Watching the waves
As they caress the shore
Wishing for nothing more
Then to be in her arms

The sunlight dances
Across the waves
Looking at this perfect scene
And feeling so lonely

Seeing this perfection
Makes me crave her
So I let the tears fall
And remember sweet times

Her arms around me
Wrapping me in her warmth
As the beat of her heart
Is all that I hear

Her gentle touch
Helping me around
When my depression
Would keep me down

The sound of morning
As she held me close
And told me to sleep
That the world would get by

The sound of footsteps
Causes me to look
And I see what I was looking for
I see her again

I get up and run to her
Wanting it to be real
And I find myself in her arms again
And hear her heart racing

My depression seems gone
And my heart feels whole
As though she never left me
And I never tried to die

I can't hold back the tears of joy
That fall as I realize she's really here
And above the sound of crashing waves
I hear her voice as she says forgotten words

"I love you baby girl"
