Heartbreak

Heartbreak

A Poem by Hope Rose

You must let him go
You're hurting yourself
You have to move on
He wanted to die

Nothing compares
To how I feel
This sharp pain in my chest
That started when he died

Why do you whine
Just let him go
He didn't want you
Or else he would have stayed

Nothing in the world
Can make me move on
He was my world
Yet I guess I wasn't his

God you're so stupid
He left because you held him down
He wanted a family
Something you couldn't give him

I hurt him somehow
I made him leave
I don't know how
I could be so stupid

God I hate you
You stupid girl
Hope is dead
Night is in control

This is a very introspective poem, I love the way it's written like an argument between you and your mind, I can relate to this poem on a very personal level.
The words are harsh but show the brutality we can inflict upon ourselves by allowing our minds to run rampant.
Excellent work :D XxXx
