soul colors

soul colors

A Poem by Hope Wilson

pooring your soul out for the worldto keep,

Telling them everything in a waywhere you dont speek.

helping them understand the other language you know,

with open ears theyll see what your trying to show.

black and white are familiar to you,

but other colors you can use,

must come from a place deep inside,

where your strongest emotions try to hide.

you practice for hours each day,

improvement comes in a gradual way.

when its your time to shine your heart soars and time slows,

and you play the music that makes your soul show.

for me its the flute,

what does it for you?
