I Can't Help but Wonder. (The thought of it)A Poem by Sarah Flanigan
I can't help but wonder if
he's looking at the same stars tonight. That thought makes my heart grow heavier. I can't help but wonder if he slipped back into a particularly bad, old habit. The thought of it makes my stomach hitch. I can't help but wonder if he still has that ivory colored guitar he was playing when we first met. That memory makes me feel inexplicably homesick. I can't help but wonder if he's stargazing in his back yard thinking of me too. The thought makes my stupid heart miss him. © 2015 Sarah FlaniganReviews
