Self Confidence is Weird at FirstA Poem by Sarah FlaniganIt is so weird to look in the mirror and not have the urge to point out every flaw of the person staring back at you. It's strange to wear bright, bold colors without the fear that too much attention will be drawn to my fat stomach. It's so bizarre to be able to walk down the street in short shorts with my pale, fat, scarred legs out and just not care what others think. It's weird, strange, and so bizarre at first, but damn, it feels so good to love yourself.
