The Battle, not the War

The Battle, not the War

A Poem by Sarah Flanigan
"

My depression has been acting up lately...

"
Today is Tuesday.
I should be in class, listening to Professor Lee's lecture.
But I'm not.
I'm in bed, unable to gather together the will to move.
It seems as though depression has won this battle.
But I will not let it win the war.

About
I'm an introverted bookworm. I tend to spend my days drinking far too much coffee and playing my ukulele too loudly. Life is strange and surreal, but also beautiful somehow. more..
