Generic, Cheesy Love Poem

Generic, Cheesy Love Poem

A Poem by Sarah Flanigan
"

I'm young, dumb, and in love, so I wrote this for my boyfriend.

"
Can we just lie here,
side by side?
Feel each other's heartbeats,
and know that we're alive?

Can we just lie here,
holding hands?
With our fingers entwined,
knowing that life is grand?

Can we just lie here,
staring into one another's eyes?
memorizing the colors,
and know that life's divine?

Can we just lie here,
at the beginning of the fall?
knowing that we're young
and we don't know anything at all?

About
I'm an introverted bookworm. I tend to spend my days drinking far too much coffee and playing my ukulele too loudly. Life is strange and surreal, but also beautiful somehow. more..
