Wallflower

Wallflower

A Poem by Sarah Flanigan

Somehow, I manage to always slip into the background.
Everywhere I go,  become part of the scenery.
This allows me to just sit back and observe
all of those hundreds of other people
who are going through the human experience.
I've seen first steps
and last steps.
I've seen moments of uncontainable joy
and inconsolable sorrow.
I've seen relationships end
and begin.
And they never even knew I was there.

About
I'm an introverted bookworm. I tend to spend my days drinking far too much coffee and playing my ukulele too loudly. Life is strange and surreal, but also beautiful somehow. more..
