The War Inside

The War Inside

A Poem by Honeypeaches
"

Dark memories that should be forgotten

"

My dreams are dark memories that  need to be forgotten, they should be out of my mind and not fighting me inside. My thoughts are like a maze they’re hard to figure out, so strong but weak and will put anyone into doubt.

But… Dreams turn to horrific nightmares so easily, Thoughts will turn you against yourself and shatter you into infinite pieces.

My emotions are bipolar i swear it’s not me, Then again people say without your soul you cannot truly see

But… I’d rather be blind than to be lost, rather be lost than to be broken. I’d rather be broken than to be dead.

I know the exact feeling!!! It's like being under the water without oxygen... I can relate to battle that you were talking about in the poem... Some thoughts haunt us to the core, no matter how hard we try they reach to your heart and suddenly become our nightmares... The ending line of the poem is very thought provoking, leaves the reader to relate to it and think...
