A look into how to defeat the enemy that is our own sorrow

"

Sorrow is a disease. It clogs our minds and urges our hands towards knives, pills, and ropes. It is a dark creature that comes in waves and wants nothing more than to annihilate us. A midnight fog that clouds our mind, massing on our worst memories. But, contrary to popular belief, pills and solutions you get from the doctor won’t work. They won't cure the gnawing at your soul, only soften it. The true end to this epidemic is through Christ Jesus, our saviour. If you allow it, He will be the golden armor that shields you from harm. He, your breastplate, his father, our God, your helmet. Through them you gain Love, your boots, and Compassion, your armguards. With your full armor prepared to defend against sorrow’s evil advances you may unsheathe your blade: the Gospel. The most pure and holy blade of all. With it you are no longer just a man or a woman, but you may be a protector. Use your blade to defend others who are besieged by sorrow. Show them the way to their own armor. through this act you gain a bond. Friendship, your shield. You are a full fledged soldier of God now, and as such have a duty to uphold to him. continue your work. Love your fellow man, and always show him compassion. Grow your legion, amass an army to fight the prince of darkness, for his army is infinite. But through our God, we will prevail. Against all odds, in all corners of the globe, we will prevail. And when the horn of Gabriel sounds, ushering us to the next life, let us look to Him with pride, knowing we have done our duty.
